Brigantia Hogshead ChallengeSaturday 12 November 2022
Start time : 11:00
Last hosted in 2019 our Brigantia Hogshead Challenge was a sell out. Named Brigantia to celebrate our Celtic heritage and Hogshead as we wanted a medal with a hog on (also loosely because of York's previous name Ebor, ie E-boar).
The event is being held at York Sports Village on their 1km cycle circuit. This is a 6 hour, chip timed event so you can turn up and run 1 lap and earn a medal and goody bag. Or you can run for the full 6 hours and see how many laps you can complete or anything in between.
It's your challenge, your race, you decide the distance!
No need to advise us in advance how many laps you wish to do, just turn up and run! There is absolutely, no need to run for the full 6 hours, unless you really wish to do so!
All runners, no matter how fast or how far they have run, will receive the same bespoke medal and a goody bag.
Homemade cakes will be available for all runners.
Please note that all our events are now cupless. Please bring you own labelled bottle or cup. These can be accessed each lap and can be filled and refilled with water and squash before, during and after the event. We will also have coke, sweets and snacks on the feed station to help keep you fuelled.
We have a fabulous event T shirt available. These can be ordered in advance with your entry or ordered through our web site before the end of October.
Final event information will be e-mailed out to everyone the week before the event.
Race registration and bib/chip collection will be on race day before the event.
