The popular Elvington Flyer is returning for its fifth year. The event takes place on the main runway and will take part alongside a 10 mile event. The course is flat and fast.  

There will also be a family fun run which will start at 10.00 am; both the 5 and 10 mile runs will start at 10.30 am (this allows the parents of any children doing the fun run to either run with them or support them). All races, including the fun run, must be pre booked. There will be no entries on the day.

The event will be chip timed and race numbers and timing chips will be collected at the event; registration will open at 9am on the runway.

There will be a bespoke medal (new design for 2022) for every runner and a goody bag and homemade cake for all!

There is secure free car parking and a marshal will direct you to the parking area; this will be next to the airfield. Toilets will be next to the start/finish area. There will also be hot drinks available to purchase.

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON THE RUNWAY

All our events are cupless. You will therefore be required to bring your own labelled bottle or cup which can be placed in the start/finish area and accessed each lap. We will have an aid station with squash, water, sweets and nibbles. We are happy to fill and refill bottles before, during and after the event.

Entries, transfers and deferrals will close 7 days before the event and full race instructions will be e-mailed out to all entrants on Sunday 6th March.

The Yorkshire Air Museum is also located on the Airfield complex for anyone wanting to incorporate a visit after they have finished.
