Come along and join us for the final ever See York Run York event.
It's a 7 hour running challenge with a hard 7 hour finish; taking place on our Turpin Challenge route on York Knavesmire it is a lapped event with laps of approximately 4.37 miles. All runners, no matter how many laps they have run will receive a bespoke medal and a goody bag.
Race HQ is Hamilton Panther's Club House, with toilets, changing and showers and hot drinks and food for sale before and after the event.
Free parking is available along Knavesmire Road and Racecourse Road.
We will also be hosting a family fun run before the main event and this will be a 1 mile loop on grass. Parents/friends are welcome to run along with younger runners, but must enter the event if they would like to earn their own medal. Timing of the events will allow parents to complete the fun run before taking part in the main event.
So, you can run one lap, finish, eat cake and go home or you could run 3 laps for a half marathon distance, 6 for a marathon or see how many laps you can do until the 7 hours is up. This a fabulous event for running with friends and for making new friends.
Anyone finishing after the 7 hour cut off will be timed up to completion of their final lap that was completed within the 7 hour deadline.
Like our other events, it is cupless. Please bring your own bottle or cup and we will happily fill and refill this for you with squash, water or coke on the day. We will have a fully stocked aid station with sweets, fruit and savoury snacks.
Registration and bib collection will be on the morning of the race.
