The sell out Gunpowder Plot 10km is back for its 6th year. It is a 2 lap route around York Knavesmire. It is a path and grass course. It is flat and completely off road. The route is overlooked by Terry's clock tower and the racecourse grandstands.   This year also sees the return of the popular family a fun run before the main event at 10.30 am.  The fun run will be approximately 1 mile.

It is a flat, fast course, held on a mix of path and grass. The event is chip timed. There are no time cuts offs and the event is suitable for both experienced and new runners.

The race HQ is at Hamilton Panthers Clubhouse there are toilets and changing rooms. Hot drinks will be available for sale before and after the event. 

There is free on road parking along Knavesmire Road and Racecourse Road. There is also cycle storage at the clubhouse. 

There are drinks stations along the route (please note that this is a cup-less event so runners are required to bring their own labelled bottle/cup, which can be refilled at each drinks station and can be accessed each lap. 

There is a bespoke medal, a goody bag and homemade cake for all finishers. 

Final event information will be e-mailed out to everyone the week before the event and registration and bib/chip pick up will be on the morning of the event.
